Center City or Uptown, the two names are interchangeable, is an energized easily managed area, surrounded by the 277 loop.  Fast paced (in a southern kind of way), Uptown is an ideal neighborhood to live, work and play.  

Within the loop, enjoy attending the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, Carolina Panther's NFL games, Charlotte Knights baseball games, New Museum of the South, Spirit Square and a plethora of restaurants, clubs and pubs.

The Uptown - Center City neighborhood is chocked full of upscale mid rise and high rise apartments. Expect to see penthouse apartments, studio and loft apartments, two and three bedroom apartments and luxury amenity packages.  Lease apartments with roof top salt water swimming pools, tennis courts and pet parks, floor to ceiling windows, spacious balconies and super pet friendly policies.

South End Neighborhood Apartments

Walk south from Uptown Charlotte and cross over the 277 loop on Tryon or College streets, and you have officially arrived in the neighborhood of South End.  The Lynx Light Rail, a quiet electric two car train, runs through South End like a back bone.  Mid rise apartments are abundant and hug the rail line on both sides, which makes commuting to uptown convenient and easy.  Almost all of the apartments in South End are controlled access buildings with elevators, secured parking garages and exceptional amenity packages.  Townhouses, studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments are available in South End.  Residents have easy access to restaurants, pubs, shops, grocery stores, fast food and a large array of art galleries.   

Although the separation between Uptown and South End is nominal, the historical influence in South End, adds texture and brings out a bit of a bohemian vibe.

Dilworth Neighborhood Apartments

Apartments located in the Dilworth neighborhood are surrounded by historical homes on shady streets with meandering sidewalks, stately oak trees, neighborhood pubs, wine bars, grocery stores, parks and green-ways.  Uptown and South End are just a couple of minutes away.

Most apartment communities in the Dilworth area are newer mid rise buildings and their pricing is consistent with pricing in Uptown and South end.  Amenity packages will include state of the art fitness centers, dog spas, salt water swimming pools, package receipt and storage, controlled access buildings and excellent interior design.

Some long established properties are a bit more reasonably priced, but will not offer the same amenities or style.  Dilworth apartments offer one, two and three bedrooms as well as  townhouses.

Apartments In Plaza Midwood

Plaza Midwood is a tapestry of old and new, gritty and shiny, galleries, tattoo studios, outdoor performers, organic food stores, second hand shops and apartments to match.


The Plaza Midwood apartments are mostly controlled access mid rise buildings with elevators that boast amenities such as fitness centers offering Cross Fit and Yoga opportunities, luxury outdoor grilling and indoor shared chef style kitchens, pools with cabanas, bar lounges and all are within walking distance to your favorite hang outs.  Get a larger apartment at one of the boutique style properties for the same rent that you would pay for a smaller apartment at the larger amenity rich properties.  

Plaza Midwood flows into the Chantilly neighborhood which flows into the Elizabeth neighborhood, all just about a 5 minute drive into Uptown - Center City Charlotte.

NoDa (North Davidson) Neighborhood, Arts District Apartments

Walk from your NoDa apartment to the Smelly Cat Coffee House, a wide variety of Craft beer breweries, funky retail shops, theater, the Dog Bar, farmer's market and so much more.  Noda is home to independent shop owners, galleries, restaurants like Cabo Fish Taco and colorful graffiti murals.  


The new and shiny recently constructed mid rise apartment buildings celebrate the local artists by displaying their work in the building lobbies and exterior lounge areas.  Apartment amenities include billiards, outdoor grilling and gathering areas, heated salt water pools, 24 hour fitness facilities with interactive digital fitness training, non-smoking buildings and pet spas,  Live in studio, one, two or three bedroom apartments.  Some apartments offer townhouse floor plans with attached garages and some properties are boutique style with less fuss and more affordable.

The Lynx Light Rail is extending to this area by 2018 and will connect NoDa to Uptown - Center City and South End.

South Park Upscale Apartmens

South Park is a very upscale residential area combined with business parks and shopping, nestled in a mature full canopy of tall trees.  The neighborhood is very pedestrian friendly with sidewalks lining most of the streets.  Earth Fare, Whole Foods, The Fresh Market and Harris Teeter grocery stores are dotted throughout South Park which coincides with the many apartment options.  Walk from your apartment with a picnic and your furry friend to the outdoor concert venue or visit the local cafe and have coffee on the patio.

South Park apartments come in two varietals, the newer controlled access mid rise buildings and the long established, but renovated garden style or townhouse buildings.  The renovated properties offer larger floor plans, nice amenities and more square footage for the money.  Most of the upgrades include granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and hard wood vinyl plank flooring.  The mid rise buildings are controlled access with attention to luxury details like wine storage, fully equipped kitchens and over sized balconies.  The apartments in this area are very pet friendly and maintain pet stations, pet spas and have treats on hand in the rental office.
